Top Note with Box and Leadership DVD

January 27, 2009

Monday was an exciting day for me! I actually made something! I know I can’t believe it myself :)

I found this stinking cute idea on a blog over the weekend (and failed to note the addy - will do so in the future) so this isn’t my original design! BUT I did think it was so cute I had to replicate it. Of course this one was thrown together in like 10 minutes because I was DETERMINED I would make something yesterday so don’t judge me for perfection :)

Top note with box

How cute is this? Now of course I used retired DSP and um, well my reds don’t match (must organize ribbon next) but the IDEA, THE IDEA PEOPLE! It’s FABULOUS!!! And let’s not let this be left out - it’s a box - a box and I made it correctly the FIRST time WOOHOOO!!

Okay too many exclamation points in that post for my taste. Anyway, you have to agree that the possibilities are endless with this little cutie. LOVE IT!

After I was so delighted with myself over actually crafting for fun - I still am in shock - I had a UPS delivery that was unexpected. How can that happen? I watch for shipments like a HAWK! But it wasn’t product. It was this…

Leadership DVD

Oh my, it’s my voice from my Leadership presentation (along with all the other speakers).  I really debated on listening to it, okay for about a half a second. I mean if this is available to anyone who attended then I might as well hear it myself right? So I fire this beauty up and low and behold it not only has my voice but VIDEO also! OH MY WORD, is there anything worse than watching yourself on video? I think not.

Patrick is excited because we had originally planned for him to attend with me. But then of course that small thing called work came up and he had to stay home. So he was bummed that he wouldn’t actually get to see me embarass myself in front of everyone speak. Now he too can partake of the excitement that is Stacie on stage - hahahaha.

I realized while watching that I didn’t really smile a lot - what’s with that? I am a happy person, I promise. So to all who don’t know me, I do smile, honest.

Merry Christmas!

December 24, 2008

Hope that you and yours are enjoying this holiday season. We are lucky enough not to have to travel today or tomorrow. Today we have all to ourselves and it’s awesome! The girls and Patrick are baking/decorating some cookies right now, I’ve been wrapping presents!

One lucky gal has this lovely present under her tree full of SU! goodies today! Hope you enjoy it Tammy!

And here’s a close up of the bow and tag - I was so pleased with myself! I made the tag using the Big Shot with our *exclusive* Top Note die out of the same wrapping paper - how smart am I? And then since the top note is perforated I ran another using Confetti White so I could trim it and use it for a greeting.  The snowflake is also a die cut with a little glue pen action and Dazzling Diamonds! Everything needs a little sparkle <wink>

Oh and the ribbon and wrapping paper are all from SU! - retired from 2007 Holiday Mini. I love the ribbon it’s so luxurious mabye we’ll see it again one day.

I’m off to wrap more presents - Merry Christmas to you!

Stinkin’ Cute BOO Banner!

October 27, 2008

Okay so I’m late to the game to actaully make a banner, I know. But trust me I’ve had ideas and plans for a while. The ones created at Founders Circle were quite an inspiration but I didn’t want to sew. I don’t particularly like to sew so I kept delaying. We finally went for fabric - OH MY WORD! what an experience - and look what I made with ZERO sewing….

Admit it, it’s STINKIN’ CUTE! I’m quite pleased with my efforts - can you tell? :P

Anyhoo, Tangerine Tango for the back pennant, groovy sparkly spider web  fabric from local craft store (1/2 off!!) , Tangerine Tango again for the scallops, Tangerine Tango ribbon through jumbo eyelets (applied with the Crop-a-Dile of course) and then I made my letters from coasters with the Sans Serif dies and my BigShot. WHOA! Watch out, I’m getting creative, it’s going to get scarey hahahaha :) After I had the letters in hand I took some Black Craft Ink to them with a dauber (something I learned from eyeing smarter people observing my colleagues at Convention 2008).  Imagine that, I learned something because I had to sit with unknown people for make and takes! Hmmm, might have to do that again next year :)

For those who know me, well you know I wear as much or more ink than my projects usually. The dauber is the excellent solution to this problem.  I had minimal damage afterwards and NONE on my clothes HURRAY! After they were dry, which wasn’t long because with the dauber you actually get the ink down in the coasters/chipboard better, I then attacked myself them with the Tombow glue and then the Black Chunky Glitter. I love how they look and the mess really was minimal. I’m no good with glue so of course I was wearing quite a bit of that but that’s my fault not the the glue!

As for the no sewing - MINI GLUE DOTS BABY! Positioned pretty evenly around each pennant and virtually invisible I think I’m pretty smart! I used mini glue dots for the letters to the scallops and then the big pop up glue dots for the scallops to the fabric. I’ll let you know tomorrow if I find them in the floor.

Off now to finish up projects for our team meeting tonight. I have some cute little projects for the gals to make after we talk just a small bit of business. Stamping is more fun anyway!
