Valentine Treats Round 1
February 12, 2009
So today is party day for Mackenna (age 3) at her “school”. We have the cheetos ready to go - gotta love her teachers they let me sign up first this time so of course I went for super easy! Next we need valentine treats. Patrick offered to buy some when he went to get the cheetos. STORE BOUGHT VALENTINE’S?!? How dare he insult me like that! How dare he take away the creative opportunity for his child! Shame on him…what WAS he thinking?
Here they are in all their glory and YES she did help with assembly. Yes, some of the hearts are a little off center, well downright crooked, and I did NOT adjust them. I’m growing people, I’m growing!
I flipped one over so you could see the back - the flowers as she calls them - too cute of her! They sent home a list of names but I um, well, the dog ate them. What? We don’t have a dog! Well, now that you mention it, you’re right. Hmmmm, guess I lost the list. Who cares? They are THREE for crying out loud! They just want the sucker and will have this paper shredded in 0.3 seconds flat!
I also made a little, let me stress little here folks, something for her teachers. I usually don’t do anything and then I feel tremendous guilt when I see all these fabulous mom’s bringing in flowers and candy and whatnot so this year I have a gift. Don’t laugh too hard…
It’s one of those acrylic magnetic photo frames jazzed up a bit. Yes, I considered adding ribbon but I couldn’t find a place where it didn’t monopolize the whole frame so I gave up. So it’s not flowers or candy but they know I adore them and I take care of them at Christmas enough to last the whole year. I will not feel guilty and you can not make me!
And of course I can’t leave you without showing a picture of a little something else I helped to create…
Isn’t she a cutie?

Oh wait! I can’t resist!! I’ve been waiting for an opportunity to post this - really I do love you Julie! - this is a photo of our make and take helper at Leadership. This was her first reaction to Julie working on this project and I think it speaks volumes
Of course this is a retake of the original face because I was falling out of my chair laughing when she did it the first time!
Day Card Club Forming
February 11, 2009
Have you heard about card clubs but just can’t work them into your evening schedule? Well come and join us in this new club! Meetings will be held in my home on the 2nd Thursday of each month beginning at 10:00 am and ending at noon.
This is a fabulous way to build up your supplies and slowly get those items on your wish list. Minimum purchase of $25 each month and one month will be your hostess month where you receive all the hostess benefits as if you had thrown a party in your own home. We’ll make a total of 10 cards (5 designs, 2 of each) and have a great time. I only have 3 spaces left for this group so don’t miss out - email or call me today!
First meeting will be held on Thursday, February 19th!
Decor Elements Season of Thanks
February 10, 2009
This is an odd time of the year to share this picture but I haven’t posted it yet so I thought why not?! I love this tile which uses the Season of Thanks from our Decor Elements line and then leaves die cut with the Bigshot.
I made this several months ago but I still smile each time I see it. I also crimped the leaves and then darkened them up a bit with some ink. I had a discussion with someone this weekend about if this saying could be used year round. I’ve had people go both ways - some say it’s only a Fall sentiment but others think you could change out the leaves (they are attached with mini glue dots) for other seasonal items and use it year round.
What do you think? I’d love to hear your comments!
Oh and I think I might actually get to stamp this evening so keep your fingers crossed that I’ll be able to post something new with PAPER tomorrow!
Do you like your job?
February 2, 2009
I LOVE mine!
Well really I have two jobs - first I’m a Mom and then second is my Stampin’ Up! business. SU! is awesome because I set my own schedule according to what works for my family. I’m not required to keep inventory so I don’t have to worry about the cost and space to store extra stuff. Plus I get to have fun at every event I hold!
Now, don’t misunderstand, if you choose to join the Stampin’ Up! family there’s no need to “work”. If you are addicted to paper crafting and would just like to get a discount for your own supplies that’s fine too. Joining my team means that you will be able to attend my events at a reduced rate plus you’ll have my help with any questions about SU!
Being a demonstrator has quite a few perks! I love the sneak peak and the preorder. It’s so much fun to get the new goodies before anyone else ;) And the info on the demo side of the SU! website is awesome! So many samples and ideas to choose from that you’ll have a hard time deciding where to begin!
So during Sale-A-Bration the starter kit is on SALE! WOOHOO!! It’s 15% off so that means you are getting $335 in product for only $169 and the kit can be customized to your liking. But that’s not all - because it’s SAB, and I LOVE SAB, you will also get a free stamp set (any value) of your choice! These offers are only good Feb 1 - March 31 so click on the image below to learn more and then CALL ME!
I’d love to have you as part of my team!
Sale-A-Bration is here!
February 1, 2009
I’m so excited! This is one of my favorite times of the year! Once again Stampin’ Up! has done a fabulous job selecting 6 items to be available during Sale-A-Bration (SAB). This year there are four stamp sets, one ribbon bundle, and one package of Designer Series Paper available.
These sets are not for sale! They may only be chosen with your order or $50 or more. For each $50 you get to choose one of the above options.
If you are a party hostess then you may choose one of the above when your party total (before shipping and taxes) reaches $300!
See my Sale-A-Bration page for more details!

Click here to see the SAB brochure - hope to hear from you soon!
